About Trovan tags for kegs
TrovanUnique™ Keg Transponders have been used in the beer and beverage industry since 1993.
The tags require no maintenance and, unlike barcode, do not require frequent replacement. With respect to functionality, they represent a substantial improvement over barcodes.
What are the advantages of RFID?
With respect to functionality, they
represent a substantial improvement over barcodes. They are not directionally sensitive, and can be read through dirt, grease, and many other obstructions. They operate reliably on metal, and in areas with high electromagnetic interference, both of which are important factors on filling lines. Tamper-evident TrovanUnique Keg Transponders are extremely rugged and designed to remain attached to kegs for the life of the asset.
Trovan transponders’ fast read speed and exceptional read range make them operable on current-generation filling lines and allow for future upgrades.
Tags can be attached and data entered even before the keg arrives at your facility: during the keg manufacturing process. Trovan also provides dedicated data entry stations which are designed to facilitate the process of tagging legacy kegs and entering their data into the system.
